Safeguarding,

Safeguarding is a term to describe how we can protect children and vulnerable adults from abuse and neglect

Safeguarding children & young adult people includes:

  • Protecting children from maltreatment.

  • Preventing impairment of children’s health or development.

  • Taking action to enable all children to have the best outcomes.

Safeguarding vulnerable adults includes:

  • Protecting their rights to live safely, free from abuse and neglect.

  • Ensuring people and organisations work together to prevent the risk of abuse or neglect.

About Me

As a retired police officer with 30 years of service, I possess a comprehensive understanding and extensive experience in addressing safeguarding concerns. I am eager to share my knowledge and experience with you, to contribute to the protection of children & vulnerable adults.

Why should I take a safeguarding course?

Safeguarding can be undertaken by anyone. Regretably, abuse is a pervasive issue across all cultures, with race, religion, age, gender, or social background being no barrier.

This course is tailored for individuals with any form of contact with children or vulnerable adults in any capacity, whether through employment, voluntary or charitable work, affiliation with an organisation such as sports club, hospitality establishment. Or you simply you wish to expand your awareness & knowledge in safeguarding, thus enabling you to potentially protect children or vulnerable adults from abuse and neglect.
